Oncology Rehabilitation

Oncology rehabilitation focuses on improving physical function, symptom management, and quality of life for individuals throughout the cancer care continuum. This session will explore rehabilitation interventions before, during, and after cancer treatment to address fatigue, pain, lymphedema, mobility limitations, cognitive impairment, and functional decline. Experts will discuss individualized exercise programs, nutritional support, psychosocial care, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation approaches for cancer survivors. Presentations will highlight rehabilitation strategies that promote independence, reduce treatment-related complications, and support return to daily activities. Participants will examine evidence-based practices in exercise oncology, palliative rehabilitation, and survivorship care planning. Discussions will also explore emerging technologies, tele-rehabilitation, and patient-reported outcome measures in cancer rehabilitation. Current research and clinical innovations aimed at optimizing long-term recovery will be presented. The session aims to integrate rehabilitation into comprehensive cancer care to enhance patient outcomes and well-being.
