Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation is a customized outpatient program of exercise and education. Cardiac rehabilitation is designed to help patients with cardiac problems to improve their health and help them to recover from a heart attack, other forms of heart disease or surgery to treat heart disease. Cardiac rehabilitation often involves emotional support, exercise training, and education about lifestyle changes to reduce heart disease risk, such as eating a heart-healthy diet, quitting smoking and keeping a healthy weight. Cardiac rehabilitation helps to improve the patient’s health and enable them to live a more active life. Cardiac rehabilitation can also help them to return to work safely and in a timely manner.
