Pediatric rehabilitation medicine (PRM) main focus is on the rehabilitation and medical management of children with some related brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disorders, and a range of musculoskeletal conditions. It deals with diagnosis, treatment, prevention and management of the congenital disorders that mainly occurs in children including infants. Pediatric physiatrists are the physicians who are trained and specialized in the rehabilitation care and medical management of children for identifying functional capabilities and in selecting the best rehabilitation program.
