Psychiatric Rehabilitation

Psychiatric rehabilitation, also referred as psychosocial rehabilitation is the procedure of restoration of the community functioning and well-being of an individual diagnosed in mental health or emotional disorder and who may be felt to have a psychiatric ill health. Generally the treatment for mental health disorders are of two aspects: the actual treatment itself, and the rehabilitation. Treatment main focus is on reducing the symptoms of an illness that are present in the patient. Psychiatric rehabilitation helps in recovery, full community integration, and to enhance the quality of life for persons who have been identified with any type of mental health disorder that seriously impairs the individual’s ability to lead their meaningful lives.
