Many studies were conducted to determine the effectiveness of yoga as a complementary intervention for cancer, schizophrenia, asthma, and other heart diseases. Hatha yoga and Raja yoga are the most well-known types. The results of several studies are mixed with cancer studies suggesting none to unclear the effectiveness, and others suggesting yoga may reduce the several risk factors and aid in a patient's psychological healing process.
